Seamus - 2.5 week update
For those who like the details (and so I don't forget myself!), here is a quick update from Seamus' 2 week check up. His weight is up to 8 lbs 11 oz, which means he gained a pound in the past 10 days, the little lunker! He is also 21.5 inches (80%), which I think makes him our tallest newborn. He is sleeping great; at night he has a five or six hour sleep stretch. All of his newborn screenings came back without any concerns. So, in general, he's a happy little guy who is doing great!

Happy Birthday Hugadaboos!
Teresa is into the double digits! Ten years old. We had a nice birthday celebration yesterday with her favorites, plain cheesecake and Chinese food, along with some fun presents. Although Teresa is just getting over Fifths Disease (which is a common, mild, childhood virus which causes a rash that resembles a "slapped cheek" look on the face), she was really feeling fine. You can hardly notice the rash in some of the pics, which is almost gone now.
You are such a joy to us, Teresa! We all love you so much!!!
Trying on new flip-flops
A new webkins and...
... new jean shorts
And some fun new art supplies
Blowing out candles
Whew! No boyfriends. Although I think that was rigged, cause she only had two candles instead of ten! (With a newborn in the house, we count ourselves lucky to have ANY candles in the house, let alone ten LOL)

Happy Father's Day Times Eight!
We had a low-key Father's Day celebration here on Sunday. I wish I would have gotten a picture of Mike with all the kids, but at least we have these of him holding Seamus. The kids picked out some snazzy new ties and a couple shirts. And of course the homeade cards are always a nice treat. Happy Father's Day to an awesome dad!!!

Our Welcoming!
This is a few weeks old, but the kids worked hard on this nice welcoming sign, so I didn't want to leave it out of our memories :)

Seamus Update
Seamus is 11 days old today and doing great! He is soooo loved, and always has a sibling waiting to hold him when I am willing to pass him over :) He is sleeping and eating well and starting to show us his little personality. Moira even caught a little grin on camera as you can see in the third picture.
He has big eyes...or as my kids say, a perpetual surprised look, which reminds them of pictures of cousin Owen :) There's so much to take in...he doesn't want to miss a thing!

"Mee-Mee"
Erin certainly has had quite a fun time handing over the "Thrown of the Youngest". No, I'm not exaggerating, she really can't get enough of Seamus and has no inclination for him to go back to wherever it was that he came from. She says his name, "Mee-Mee" and can't contain her excitement when she gets to hold him, sing to him or help with all the baby activities.
She is a wonderful big sister!

The Name "Seamus"
Seamus is pronounced "Shay-mus" and is Irish for James. For some history of the name: James is English for the Latin name Jacomus, which is a Latin form of the Hebrew name Jacob.
Seamus was named with St. James the Less in mind, one of the Apostles, and also Great Grandpa Delaney whose first name was James.

Still No Baby
The time is 5:37pm and 'He' is still in his comfy and cozy home of nine months. My mom was induced at about 9 this morning. Hopefully the birth will be soon. Please keep praying. :)
Here at home we have both sets of grandparents, Uncle Pat and 'The Cousins' in addition to all of us. The house is filled with us crazies trying to entertain ourselves while in totally and utter anticipation. I have a speaker-phone setup in our family-room ready for the moment of The Call. Whenever the phone rings the house turns into an erupting volcano of people running from all over the house to the family-room.
