A First for Potty Training
I have potty trained 6 (and a half) children. Erin is the half, because she does beautifully under certain circumstances, but has accidents at other times. We are working on that. But this post is about our 8th child, dear Seamus. He is a unique lad. Yesterday he came running into the room sporting a freshly changed diaper which he changed HIMSELF. Yep, you heard that right. He changed the diaper all by himself! The sticky taps were a little crooked, but otherwise, he was good to go. (I will note....the "old" diaper was just wet. Had that not been the case, we would have had a minor disaster on our hands). Of course I praised him. Then, I thought, out loud, " You know your kid is ready for potty training when he changes his own diaper!" This was followed by Eileen's quick, witty reply, "If he changes his own diaper, who cares if he's potty trained!" Ha ha. She cracks me up. He cracks me up. Oh, life is funny.

Gaelic Storm!
In early March, Eileen and a few other Heritage Dancers had the opportunity to dance on stage with Gaelic Storm at the Meyer Theater here in Green Bay. She also wore her new new solo dress for the first time!
Here they are, waiting to perform...

Our January babies....
.....are not babies anymore! Eileen and Bridget turned 17 and 15 in January. I'm late getting some pictures on the blog because those January birthdays always sneak up on us!
Here's beautiful Eileen, who had to wait another month, to the day, to get her braces off. I'll have to get a picture with her new grin, full of shiny straight teeth! Happy birthday, Eileen!

Here's beautiful Bridget, our 15 year old. She was finally able to have a little party with a few friends over to celebrate her birthday, just this past weekend. Happy birthday, Bridget!

FUS Homecoming Weekend
Eileen, Bridget and cousin Colleen were able to travel with Grandma and Grandpa D to Steubenville in early October. It was so nice for Moira to see some family members! They didn't get too many pictures, but here's a little glimpse into their loooong car ride.
This picture cracks me up because both Bridget and Colleen love love love to read. Here they are, using their mp3 players as little lights, so they could continue reading after dark.

University Days/Visit with Cousins
In mid-June, Mike, Moira, friend Genna, Eileen and Teresa traveled to Steubenville for FUS's University Days. That means we're getting closer to Moira's departure to college. Like it or not, that day is fast approaching. They had a very nice visit with Tim, Suzy and family, had a great visit to FUS and did a little sight seeing in Pittsburgh.
Here's darling Cousin Mara!

March for Life
Mike and the girls attended the March for Life in Washington DC this past January! It was such a great experience for them all! Patrick, Anna and Tim traveled with them. They will hold these memories for many years to come!
Other families members wished they could have gone along. Here's Stow-Away Number One....
And Stow-Away Number Two...
Once in DC, they went to Mass at the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception. Beautiful!

I'm not sure what the final numbers were at the March, but estimates were between 100,000 and 200,000. At least.

I'm pretty sure the girls have more pictures which I will try to put on soon....

They flew out of Milwaukee to Pittsburgh, where Tim met up with them. Of course they had to stop at the Hofbrauhaus!
