Welcome Home, Lombardi Trophy!

As you can see, I'm still quite behind on blogging...Better late than never, I say!

Moira loves her job. In February, she had a very fun opportunity (employee perks!) to get a little photo op with the Lombardi trophy! Yes, this is the real deal! The replicas will go behind the glass case, which you can see in some of the photos.

Moira is counting her blessings that she was able to be an employee during this Superbowl season.  What a great opportunity it has been!  Did I mention that she LOVES her job?

Family Night

We always attend the first Packer scrimmage, called Family Night, which always fully packs Lambeau Field. Amazing. Even though it rained, had a delay, and was filled with controversy, the kids enjoyed it.

Here's our friend, Debbi, gazing at the fireworks

Family Fun

Every summer we look forward to our many family gatherings. Mike's family was here for a week, starting the end of July. As always, we packed in a lot of fun and had a great time. Here are some memories in the making...

We met in Milwaukee to visit Mike's Grandma Dillon. Here she is with Suzy, Tim, Aileen and Joe.
Grandma loved seeing Erin. The last time she saw her was the night before Erin's open-heart surgery (the surgery that she has in common with Great-Grandma) last September.
Erin and Joe have fun in the kiddie pool

The princesses, looking quite enchanting (even with big black leather gloves)...
We took the monkeys to the zoo (yes, that is Mike peeking through the baby penguin head)...

And we went to Bay Beach. Some friends of ours were with us as well. Here's their little three, Cecilia, Isabella and Gabriel.

Another Reason Why Moira Loves Irish Dancing...

On St. Paddy's Day the girls performed at a dinner party. Seated at the head table was Mark Murphy, whom Moira noticed instantly, even while dancing her opening reel. For those of you who need a little reminder who Mark Murphy is (I hope I'm not the only one), he's the president and CEO of the Green Bay Packers :) Here's the pic that Moira's friend took of her after the performance.

It's Game Day!!! (Moira)

WOOHOO! We couldn't be more excited! Sadly, I didn't have a extra couple hundred bucks laying around so I will not be going to the game. My dad is, though, with one of his brothers and many of his cousins. I'm just so thrilled for him, *wink*!

It is forcasted to be a HIGH of 2 degrees. Right now, it is -13 degrees, but with the wind chill, it feels like -34 degrees! You might think I'm crazy but I would go, with NO hesitation, in a heart beat!!! I thought the cold would add to the glory of the frozen tundra. Only true, die hard fans sit 4 hours in below zero weather just to be there!!! It is supposed to be the 2nd Ice Bowl.

Back in September my mom and I were looking through blog templates and came across a Green Bay Packer one. I got all excited and really wanted to save it as our template. My mom was not so excited about the idea. I said, "Okay, if the Packers go to the Super Bowl can we do it for a couple weeks???" She said (somewhat sarcastically), "Alright, yeah... If they go to the Super Bowl." The other night we were getting supper ready and I reminded her of that little promise back in September. So if you come to our blog tomorrow and find it with a Packer template, you know the reason, and who wanted it!!! :)

On to The Playoffs {Moira}

As a packer fan, one could not be more excited! I went to the regular season ender (Pack vs. Lions) and it was such a fun game! The environment, this late in the season, with everyone excited for the playoffs, was awesome! Everyone was just crammed on the bleachers trying to keep warm! We had great seats, real close to the field in the north end zone! Anyway, here are some pictures of (cousin)Emmett and me at the game:

More Letters {Moira}

No, not to Santa.......To football players!!! I've lost track of all the players I've written letters to. After watching Aaron Rogers play in the Dallas game I wrote him a letter simply asking him, very nicely, to cut his hair!!! :) THEN I doused the envelope in perfume and glitter so he would open it!!! Aren't I brilliant!?!?!

Anyway, today I got a postcard BACK from BRETT!!!!!

On the back it says:

Dear young fan,

I want to personally thank you for showing me so much support over the years. The Pack has a great tradition because of people like you.

Thanks Again,

Brett Favre 4

It's in his handwriting too!!! I know what you're thinking, "Yeah, a million other people got that same card!!! It's just printed on there". I know it is. But it still gave me my thrill for the weekend! Unless the Packers win tomorrow, then that will add to the thrill!
